Testimony - Pastor A. Freeman, Host - Liberia, West Africa - April 22- May 26th 2014

Report on the visit of Pastor Joseph and Elsa Funaro to Liberia, West Africa.

April 22 – May 6th

Series of Activities were organized during this visit:
I. The mission activities started with our Midweek Service on Wednesday April 23rd where Pastor Joseph boldly ministered the Word, all those who attended were encouraged. The sick were prayer for, all those who came out for prayer were healed that night.

Meditate the Word

1Corinthians 2:16 ” …but we have the mind of Christ.” Proverbs 23:7”As a man thinks, so is he.” Romans 8:5”For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” Matt.4:17”From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Jesus’ first message was to repent or the Greek word “metanoia” meaning to change your thoughts. Start thinking kingdom. If you can change your thoughts you will be focused on the kingdom.

The Law of the Spirit of Life

2Corinthians 5:17-18 ”If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given unto us the ministry of reconciliation.”
Galatians 6:15 ”For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”

Victory Through Redemption

1Corinthians 15:57-58 (Amplified) ”But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory (making us conquerors) through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord (always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord), knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile (it is never wasted or to no purpose.)” We are made to win. Victory is a redemptive blessing paid for in our behalf and in our name because of what Jesus accomplished for us.
Colossians 2:9-10 “For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” We were created to be winners. Failure is not God’s will. Defeat is not in God’s vocabulary.

The Spirit Ruled Mind

1Corinthians 2:16 We have the mind of Christ
Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks so is he.
Romans 12:1-2 We are transformed by the renewing of our minds.

God’s intention from the beginning apart from restoring us to intimacy and oneness with Himself was to save us from three main things.
1)Sin and the consequences of sin (sickness, poverty and premature death).
2) The devil. 1John 3:8.
3) Self or the natural or soulish man. When Adam committed high treason against God in the beginning, his spirit took on the nature of rebellion, iniquity, and became spiritually estranged from Almighty God.
Ephesians 2:1-3
Verse 1
And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Verse 2 Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:
Verse 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
