The Great Commission
The gospel that Jesus preached is found written in Luke 4:16-20. The same Spirit of the Lord that was upon Jesus is upon us. We are anointed with His anointing to preach and demonstrate what he did. The Spirit of the Lord is upon us to preach the gospel to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, the recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Why are people not coming to Jesus Christ today? Because we have not fully preached the gospel.
Jesus never sent anyone out to preach the gospel without signs and wonders (healings in particular) following. In Luke 9:1-6 and Luke 10: 1,9, Jesus gave His followers all authority and all power over all devils and to heal all sickness. In Mark 16:15-20, He told us to preach the gospel and signs would follow us in His name. In My name, the name of Jesus, believers would cast out devils, speak with new tongues, be immune from anything deadly that they would drink, handle serpents as Paul in Acts 28:4-5, they shall lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover. Why are people not coming to Jesus Christ today? Because we have not fully demonstrated the gospel! Don’t be a hypocrite. If you are not willing to pray for someone outside the church why pray for someone inside the church?
God’s will is ALWAYS under all circumstances to heal! In order to minister healing and demonstrate the gospel this must be your belief. Psalm 103:3, “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thine diseases.” Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing ALL that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him.” Healing is in the atonement. Isaiah 53:4-6.
Healing belongs to us. It (He) is part of our born-again nature. Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.” 2 Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Ephesians 1:19-20, “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”
How are we to do the same works of Jesus without the same spiritual equipment? Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” John 14:12. “Verily, Verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my Father.” The New Testament does not talk of special anointing or leadings to do special things. It talks of the Spirit baptism, the Jesus or Son of God anointing, to do what he did, to do all things.
We are living in the greatest time in the history of humanity, in the history of the church. It’s time, it’s past time, for Christians to be Christ to the world. Every believer is a minister of the Spirit of Life. Every believer is an ambassador, a representative of the King of kings, King Jesus, to go forth in this earth anywhere, anytime, to or for anyone and demonstrate the dominion of our King.
